The U.S. airline Seaborne recently announced the opening of several new direct flight services between Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan Puerto Rico and the Cibao International Airport , Punta Cana and La Romana in Dominican Republic.
The opening of this new route will begin Saturday March the 15th and to commemorate this launch, the airline is offering one-way tickets for USD$99 including taxes , giving users until 28 February to make reservations and to travel from the 15th of March to the 26th of June.
Through a recent statement the airline said that these new services between San Juan in Puerto Rico and Santiago, Punta Cana and La Romana in Dominican Republic is a major step for the tourism industry.
The organization said that Santiago is the third destination announced in the Dominican Republic. The other two are La Romana, to expand its services only on Thursdays and Sundays, a daily service starting on the 15th of March, and Punta Cana will have daily flights starting after the 14th of February of this year 2014.
The company advanced its flight schedules for this new routes, departures are contemplated in Santiago at 13:45 and 16:00 pm and departures of Puerto Rico at 6:45 and 9:00 am .
Seaborne also announced it will be the first Caribbean airline to allow their passengers to use cell phones, electronic devices and tablets in airplane mode, counting with the approval of the Federal Aviation Administration, they have indicated that Seaborneaircrafts completed a tolerance tests of carriers to ensure safe operation of the devices.
